Timmins Police clarify unfounded report of attempted abduction

Timmins Police have issued a clarifying message about an unfounded report of attempted abduction. This all stems from an incident Friday morning involving a woman and a man who was walking his dog.
Police say at one point the interaction escalated to the point that the woman tried to harm the dog in some way with the investigation revealing she was chased by the dog with the owner in tow. Timmins Police say there is no substance to any allegation of an attempted abduction.
They also say an element of social media exaggeration has made it necessary for them to issue a clarifying statement – pointing out it was merely an isolated incident between pedestrians and there’s no threat to public safety exists.
