The Timmins Police Service’s Emergency Response Team, with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police canine unit, Timmins Porcupine Search and Rescue, and EMS Special Operations Medics has resumed the ground search for missing Timmins resident Christopher Rivers.
The search will once again be taking place in the Murphy Road area where Rivers’ vehicle was located on Sept. 6, 2017, however the search perimeter has now been expanded.
Rivers was reported missing on August 28, 2017. On September 8 and 9, a ground search was completed in the area of Murphy Road and yielded negative results in locating Rivers.
Christopher Rivers, 44, is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 5-10 in height and approximately 190 pounds. He has a medium build, light brown hair, blue eyes, and may have unshaven facial hair.
Anyone having any information regarding the whereabouts of Christopher Rivers, or believing they may have seen him is asked to call the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.
