Possible abduction victim in north Oshawa is safe with case invstigated as domestic matter

Durham Police have issued a statement regarding a possible abduction last Friday in Oshawa, saying the woman is safe and the incident is being investigated by another police service as a domestic matter.
Central West Division officers responded Friday to two separate calls from members of the public who say they saw a woman attempting to get out of a moving vehicle near Bridle Road and Windfield Farms in north Oshawa.
The woman appeared to be in distress and was yelling for help. The male driver was observed preventing the female from leaving the vehicle and sped off north on Bridle Road.
Durham Regional Police Service said they would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in the case.
