Missing Elderly Man in Brantford, Ontario Located Deceased

At approximately 3:50 p.m. this afternoon, officers with the Brantford Police Service Emergency Response Team (ERT) located missing person, 83-year-old Noriyuki Kikuji deceased in a wooded area near Welton Road.

Mr. Kikuji was reported missing from his home Saturday, April 16, 2022. Information received from members of the public allowed investigators to focus search efforts in the area of Lynden Road and Garden Avenue.

During the extensive search, Brantford Police Service Patrol Officers and the BPS Emergency Response Team received the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Helicopter Team.

Investigators are now working in collaboration with the Coroner’s Office. Foul play is not suspected.

We would like to thank the public for their assistance and information as we worked to locate Mr. Kikuji. This is not the outcome any of us were hoping for.

The Brantford Police Service would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Kikuji. We ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this difficult and emotional time.
