Durham Police are trying to locate a possible Oshawa female who may be in danger after attempting to get out of a moving vehicle on Dec 16 2022.

Police are trying to locate a female who may be in danger after they responded to an unknown trouble call in Oshawa.

On Friday, December 16, 2022, at approximately 1:40 p.m., members of Central West Division were called the area of Bridle Road and Windfield Farms after two separate complainants advised they observed a female attempting to get out of a moving vehicle. The female appeared to be in distress and was yelling for help. The male driver was observed preventing the female from leaving the vehicle and sped off north on Bridle Road.

The driver is described as: white, dark hair with a dark beard. The female is described as: white, blonde hair, 20 years old wearing blue jeans and winter boots.

The vehicle is believed to be a White Ford SUV.

The investigation is ongoing; however, police have not been able to locate the driver or the vehicle and are appealing to the public for any information, including home and dash cam video.

Anyone with new information about this investigation is asked to contact D/Cst. Adepegba of Central West Division at 1-888-579-1520 ext.1854.

Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or on the website at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
