🚨 ACTOR STEWART MCLEAN’S REMAINS IDENTIFIED IN LIONS BAY, BRITISH COLUMBIA
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has identified the remains of 45-year-old actor Stewart McLean, also known as Stew McLean, in Lions Bay, B.C.
McLean was reported missing after not being seen since May 15, 2026. He was last known to be at his residence in Lions Bay, a community in the Sea-to-Sky region approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Vancouver.
McLean appeared in television series such as Virgin River and Murder in a Small Town. IHIT is conducting a homicide investigation and is working to build a timeline of his activities prior to May 15 through evidence collection, CCTV review, and interviews.
“We are pursuing all available leads as we work to find answers for the family, friends and loved ones of Mr. McLean,” said Cpl. Esther Tupper of IHIT.
McLean’s agent, Jodi Caplan of Lucas Talent, stated that the agency is devastated by the news. She described Stew as a well-respected and admired member of Vancouver’s film and television community who will be remembered for his kindness and humour.
