Victoria, BC mother Belinda Ann Cameron still missing after vanishing from Esquimalt store in 2005

The search for a Victoria woman who went missing under suspicious circumstances 14 years ago is still underway, according to Victoria Police.

The missing woman, Belinda Ann Cameron, was last seen at Esquimalt’s Shoppers Drug Mart in the 800-block of Esquimalt Road on May 11th, 2005, and was reported missing on June 4th of the same year.

Once she was reported missing, police say that an extensive investigation and series of searches were conducted for the then 42-year-old woman.

Belinda has not been found and the investigation has led police to believe that her disappearance was suspicious and that she was a victim of foul play.

Police say that her file is being investigated as a homicide case and that someone likely knows what happened to her.

VicPD notes that they are committed to finding out what happened to Belinda and are looking to bring closure to her family. Her two daughters are now adults and are seeking to understand what happened to their mother.

At the time of her disappearance, Belinda was described as a 42-year-old Indigenous woman who stood 5’ 8” and weighed approximately 170 pounds with a medium to large build. She had dark brown eyes and long dark brown hair that was usually parted in the middle.
