UPDATE: Senior woman from Mississauga found deceased, according to police
Peel Regional Police say an elderly woman who was reported missing in Mississauga has been found dead.
According to a news release from police on the morning of Sunday, July 24, Nadiia Nikiforova, 81, was last seen walking eastbound on Ceremonial drive toward McLaughlin Road at around 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.
Police say she was new to Canada and spoke only Russian and Ukrainian.
In a news release from police shared on Sunday, July 24 at 5:30 p.m., it was announced investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau located the woman deceased and would continue to investigate the circumstances.
