The province is offering a $50,000 reward for any information that could help OPP investigators resolve the disappearance of a woman who has ties to Cambridge.

Investigators believe Amber Ellis, who last seen on Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation in February, may have been the victim of foul play and are offering the reward in the hopes of resolving the case.

Ellis was 33 years old when she was last seen on Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation near the end of February 2021.

Her mother reported her missing on March 8. Prior to her disappearance, Ellis lived at an address in Hagersville. She also has ties to Brantford, Cambridge, Hamilton and Norfolk County areas.

Amber is 5’9″ (175 cms) tall, 120 lbs (54 kgs), with a thin build, long dark hair, and brown eyes.

In a press release sent out Monday, the OPP say have a dedicated team of investigators working under the direction of the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch, including members of Haldimand County OPP, the Brantford Police Service and Six Nations Police Service, who are committed to locating Amber.

“I am confident this reward will provide added incentive for anyone who has been hesitant in providing police with information that can assist our investigators in bringing this case to a resolution for Amber’s grieving family,” said detective inspector Chris Josiah, OPP criminal investigation branch.

Anyone with information that can assist investigators are encouraged to call the OPP Amber ELLIS tip line at 1-866-549-2090 or the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Anyone wanting to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous online message at www.helpsolvecrime.com. Those providing helpful tips may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
