Missing Springwater senior found deceased

Huronia West OPP have concluded their search for 87-year-old Harvey Doherty from Springwater Township – police say he was found deceased.

On Friday, May 27, just before 3:30 p.m., Mr. Doherty was located by Aviation Services in a river just over a kilometre from his residence.

Police say he was last seen on Thursday, May 26, just before 4:00 p.m., when he took his two dogs for a walk in the trails behind his residence. Both dogs returned home safely.
