The man who went missing in the Kananaskis area has sadly been located deceased.
His death is deemed non-criminal and no further information will be released.

The Calgary Police Service, Calgary Search And Rescue Association (CALSARA) and the RCMP are currently searching in Kananaskis by the Highway 40 gate, where a missing man’s vehicle was recovered early today. Anyone who may be in the area this weekend is asked to keep an eye out and report any signs of the missing man.
Maxwell MAYLING, 50, has not been seen since Tuesday, April 4, 2023, when it is believed he left Calgary to go hiking somewhere in Kananaskis. On Saturday, April 8, 2023, his vehicle, a maroon 2009 Buick Enclave, was located on Highway 40, near the gate by Highwood Junction.
MAYLING is described as approximately 6’ tall and 180 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.
