Manslaughter charge laid in death of Lethbridge woman Tia Blood: RCMP
A man is facing more charges concerning the death of Lethbridge woman Tia Blood, who police say died around the time she went missing in October.
Thirty-four-year-old Blood was reported missing on Oct. 19, 2022, and her remains were found by Coalsdale RCMP five days later near Range Road 225 and Township Road 92.
On Wednesday, 20-year-old Hunter Alexander Frank faces more charges after an arrest was made at the Lethbridge Correctional Center. He is being charged with trafficking a controlled substance and manslaughter.
When Blood was found, police charged Frank with indignity to human remains and two counts of theft under $5000.
After an interim judicial review, Frank was taken into custody and will appear in Lethbridge Provincial court on Feb. 13.
Due to the matter being before the courts, Mounties say no further information will be released.
