🚨 LOCATED DECEASED – Samuel Bird, 14 – Edmonton, Alberta
We are saddened to share that the remains of Samuel Bird have been found. His mother, Alanna Bird, announced the update on social media, and CBC News has confirmed that Samuel has been located.
Samuel, a member of Paul First Nation, had been missing since June 1, 2025, after leaving his west Edmonton home to visit a friend. That evening, at approximately 8:30 p.m., surveillance video captured him walking on the grounds of Holy Cross School in the city’s west end. He was last known to be at a friend’s residence near 150 Street and 106 Avenue, where police later executed a search warrant in September.
Earlier this month, investigators stated the disappearance was being treated as a criminal matter. Police indicated they believed Samuel was deceased and that his body had been removed and concealed outside the city. Edmonton Police Service has not yet issued a new statement in response to CBC’s confirmation.
