Human remains found near Tillsonburg on New Year’s Eve have been identified as those of a man who was reported missing in September.

The Oxford County Provincial Police announced Thursday that the remains had been identified as James Edward Blakley, 42, of Brownsville. He had been reported missing on September 10, 2019. Blakley had last been seen getting into a cab outside of his home around 2 p.m. on August 30.

Police said the circumstances surrounding his death have been deemed non-suspicious in nature.
