π¨ QUESTIONS REMAIN SIX MONTHS AFTER DISAPPEARANCE OF ELI WOOD, 25, FOLLOWING KITCHENER HOUSE FIRE β LAST SEEN OCTOBER 18, 2025
The WATERLOO REGIONAL POLICE SERVICE continues to investigate the disappearance of 25-year-old Eli Wood, who has now been missing for six months.
Wood was last seen on October 18, 2025. In the early hours of the following day, a fire destroyed his home on Major Street in Kitchener.
Police have not confirmed the cause of the fire, but have stated that arson and foul play may be factors in the investigation. The case remains active, though few new details have been released.
In March, community members organized a search near the Woodside National Historic Site, an area close to where Wood had been living. Organizers indicated that additional searches may take place as volunteers continue efforts to cover more ground.
Friends say the lack of answers has been difficult. Those close to Wood describe him as a caring and supportive person, and say the uncertainty surrounding his disappearance continues to take an emotional toll.
The case has also gained attention online, with many people sharing information. However, those close to Wood have urged the public to be mindful of speculation and misinformation, emphasizing that the situation is real and deeply personal for those involved.
Woodβs family has continued to share updates on social media and is offering a reward for information that could help locate him.
