Deeanna Erickson, Missing Since June 2025, Located Deceased in Calgary After Nearly 10-Month Search
Published April 2026
After nearly ten months of searching, the family of Deeanna Erickson has confirmed that she has been found dead.
Discovery
Erickson had been reported missing since June 6, 2025. On Monday, April 13, 2026, she was located. The CALGARY POLICE SERVICE announced her discovery on Wednesday evening but did not specify whether she had been found alive. Her family subsequently confirmed her death through social media. Police have not announced a cause of death, and it is not yet known whether the investigation into her disappearance remains ongoing.
A Community That Never Gave Up
In the months following Erickson’s disappearance, a dedicated community effort took shape. A Facebook group titled Help Bring Deeanna Erickson Home was created to raise awareness, drawing several hundred members. Her story was shared on multiple podcasts, and supporters recently funded a billboard in Calgary to keep her case visible to the public.
The family’s search was further complicated when they became the target of an artificial intelligence-generated scam in which someone attempted to extort money from them in the form of a ransom payment.
Our Condolences
Our deepest condolences go out to Deeanna’s family, friends, and everyone who searched, shared, and hoped alongside them. She was not forgotten.
