The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a woman wanted in an Attempted Child Abduction investigation.
On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at approximately 8 a.m., police responded to a call for an Attempted Abduction in the Bloor Street West and Spadina Avenue area.
It is reported that:
a father and child were walking to a daycare in the area
a woman unknown to the father started yelling and attempted to grab the child
the father was able to pick up the child and call for help
the suspect continued to yell and followed the father down the street
when the father and child arrived at the daycare, the suspect asked the child to leave with her
the father confronted the suspect
the suspect fled
The woman is described as white, wearing a black leather jacket with a green hood, dark blue jeans, black gloves, black running shoes, white socks, and a blue toque.
