UPDATE: Arrested! –  RCMP searching for suspect in shooting in Riverview, New Brunswick

Police have arrested Jansen Bryan Baker in Amherst. Police would like to thank the public for its cooperation.

An Alert Ready message has been issued to the Greater Moncton area as police search for a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Riverview, N.B.

Janson Bryan Baker is believed to be carrying firearms with intent to use them. The 24-year-old man is described as five feet ten inches tall (178 cm) and weighing approximately 145 pounds (66 kg). He has brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be driving a black 2020 Hyundai Elantra with black tinted windows.

If sighted, do not approach and contact RCMP immediately.

Janson Bryan Baker is a suspect in a shooting incident that occurred near Riverview High School around 5:15 p.m. on January 5, 2021, where a man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As police search for the individual, the public is asked not to report police locations or positions on social media. Only call 9-1-1 if you have seen Jayson Bryan Baker or if you have information on his whereabouts.

RCMP New Brunswick will be updating its social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter as needed. Do not call 9-1-1 or police directly to seek additional information. It’s important to keep police phone lines available for information related to locate the individual.
