🚨 Missing Chicago Teacher Linda Kathleen Brown, 53 – Last Seen January 3 2026
A search is ongoing for Linda Kathleen Brown, 53, a special education teacher at Robert Healy Elementary School in Chicago, who vanished on January 3, 2026. Brown was last seen leaving her Bronzeville neighborhood around midnight Friday into Saturday, heading to a scheduled acupuncture appointment in Wicker Park the next morning. She never arrived at the appointment, and her family reported her missing after she became unreachable—behavior they described as completely out of character.
Brown’s husband, Antwon Brown, said the couple had a quiet evening watching a movie before she went to bed early. He discovered she was gone the next morning. The family noted Brown had been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks in recent months and had taken a leave of absence from work.
Brown’s blue 2021 Honda Civic, license plate CX57470, was located undamaged, though police have not disclosed where. Authorities have found no leads from tracking the vehicle.
School principal Erin Kamradt informed parents of the situation, offering support from the CPS Crisis Management Unit and school-based mental health professionals for students and staff affected by the news.
While this case is from the United States, we’re sharing it because missing people can sometimes travel or be taken across borders. With so many Canadians visiting or living near the U.S. border, public awareness here can still make a difference.
