Two men are wanted in a violent kidnapping and robbery investigation in Toronto’s east end.
On Thursday, Nov. 17 at 3:45 p.m., police were called to Markham Rd. and Eglinton Ave. E. where a man at the Scarborough Town Centre had been forced into a motor vehicle against his will by three suspects.
The victim was physically assaulted for hours and was forced at gun point to provide jewelry.
He was able to escape from the vehicle after several hours.
Suliaman Sufi, 21, of Toronto, was arrested on Friday and has been charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, robbery with a firearm, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, theft of a motor vehicle, extortion, and failing to comply with a release order.
Two other Toronto men are wanted by police and are considered armed and dangerous.
Muhsin Sufi, 23, is described as 6-feet-tall and 150 pounds with a slim build, and black hair.
Abdulhai Patel, 20, is 5-foot-9 and 220 pounds with black hair.
Both men are wanted for kidnapping, forcible confinement, robbery with a firearm, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, theft of a motor vehicle, and extortion.
