Thunder Bay Police Investigate Attempted Abduction

Patrol officers took a report of a possible attempted abduction from a 38 year old female yesterday morning.

The report indicated that the female was walking in the area of Syndicate Ave and Isabella Street just before 11:30 a.m. when she was approached by a vehicle and offered a ride by the occupants. She refused and then one of the males grabbed her arm but she was able to free herself and run away to a friend’s residence nearby. She was not injured.

The suspect vehicle is described as a bluish/green newer model Toyota Sequoia with dark tinted windows. Both occupants are described a black males. One male was described as being tall and thin with very short hair and he spoke with a heavy accent.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has information about the identity of these occupants is asked to contact the police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.tipsubmit.com.

This investigation is ongoing.
