Police have charged a third woman in relation to the murder of missing Six Nations man Douglas Hill.

On Thursday morning, the OPP and Six Nations police arrested Lori Anne Staats, 24, of Six Nations of the Grand River. She has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder as a result of the ongoing investigation into the missing Hill, a 48-year-old Six Nations man.

Hill has yet to be found since he was last seen on June 24 in Six Nations at 9 a.m., but investigators have found evidence he was killed.

On July 12, a 17-year-old female was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and a 35-year-old Holly Martin of Brantford was arrested and charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact.

Police have asked anyone who saw a darkly colored SUV, possibly with front-end damage, spotted on Sutherland Road near Chippewa of the Thames First Nations on June 24 to contact them. The road is also known as Chippewa Road and Side Road 8 and is west of London, Ontario.

“Investigators continue to receive calls from community residents that are assisting with this ongoing investigation,” said Six Nations Police Chief Glenn Lickers. “I am urging anyone with any information, no matter how trivial, to contact Six Nations Police. As a community, we need to bring resolution to the family of Douglas Hill.”

Hill is an Indigenous male, five-foot-five, weighing approximately 167 pounds. He has a thin build, long dark hair in a ponytail, is known to wear prescription sunglasses, has facial hair and a tattoo of a feather on his right cheek.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or surrounding this incident should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or the Six Nations Police Service at 519-445-2811.

To provide an anonymous tip, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave a message at www.helpsolvecrime.com, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
