Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Bureau recovered the remains of a missing 30-year old man from the City of Richmond Hill and the death is being treated as a homicide.
Kevin BONADA ROSAS was last seen at his residence on Elmwood Avenue on June 21, 2018. He was reported missing by family on June 26, 2018. Efforts to find him were unsuccessful. His disappearance was deemed suspicious and the Homicide Unit assumed control of the investigation in April 2021.
On June 5, 2023, human remains were found buried in the yard of the residence on Elmwood Avenue. Forensic examination confirmed them to be the remains of Kevin BONADA ROSAS. The death is being classified as a homicide.
The cause of death is not being released at this time.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in the investigation.
