The Lamèque RCMP continue to look for 73-year-old Joseph Aldonia Chiasson, from Shippagan, N.B., who has been missing since August 10. Police are hoping information from the public will help locate him.

Joseph Aldonia Chiasson is described as being approximately five foot eleven inches tall (180 centimetres), and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kilograms). He has brown eyes, short grey hair and has a mustache. He wears prescription eyeglasses and has a tattoo in the shape of a heart with an arrow on his left forearm.

Joseph Aldonia Chiasson was last seen on August 10, 2022, on JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan. He was reported missing to police on August 17. As part of the investigation, police have received information that Joseph Aldonia Chiasson might have been in Lamèque on August 12.

Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate the man, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing as he has a medical condition that could make him appear disoriented and behave unpredictably.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joseph Aldonia Chiasson is asked to contact the Lamèque RCMP at 506-344-2006.
