On a Sunday evening, February 17, 2019, 38-year-old Cynthia Anne Parisian exited the Home Depot Store at 845 Leila Avenue in Winnipeg and has not been seen since.

Cynthia is the mother of 11 children, but one has since passed. Cynthia missed two milestones since she went missing. The birth of her grandson which she anticipated as she was excited about being a grandmother; the other is the graduation of her daughter from college.

Cynthia is a person who has a huge heart. She felt it was her duty to help the less fortunate. She would take in those experiencing homelessness, providing food when they were hungry and a place to sleep. Her mother, Darlene, would tell her to take care of herself but felt that she needed to do this.

Cynthia was struggling with addictions but had family and friends who supported her. They provided her with a place to stay as her residence was destroyed in a fire. Cynthia was trying to make ends meet but had to sell personal belongings to survive. She pawned her electronic devices, phone and tablet at Elvis’ Pawn Shop and Atlas Pawn, both in the 800 block of Main Street shortly before she disappeared.

On the evening of February 17, 2019, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Cynthia was seen on video in the Home Depot hardware store located on 845 Leila Ave Winnipeg.

Cynthia was positively identified at the Home Depot through an investigation. She was wearing a pink toque, dark-coloured clothing and carrying a pink backpack in her right hand.

She was in the store for approximately 2 minutes and left visibly upset. She attended to a payphone
just outside the doors before she hurried into the parking lot.

Home Depot provided a video where you can see a half-ton truck driving around the parking lot near a snow hill. After leaving the store, Cynthia walked across the parking lot to where the truck stopped. It is unknown if Cynthia entered the truck as the video was grainy and does not show her entering any vehicle.

The video can be seen here: https://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=2082067&jwsource=em

The video is the last known image of Cynthia. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Cynthia Parisian is described as five feet three inches tall, with a heavy build. She has brown hair and
brown eyes. Several tips were followed up on and an extensive investigation continues in the disappearance of Cynthia Anne Parisian.

If you have any information about this case, please contact Winnipeg Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477). Long-distance callers dial 1-800-222-8477
