Ontario Provincial Police officers from the Russell detachment are trying to track down a man who was following kids in Embrun, in his car.
Officers responded to a call around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, near the arena on Blais Street.
Police say a man, driving a red SUV, slowed down to talk to a couple of kids. He rolled down his window and told the pair, “he was just on the phone with their parents, and they wanted him to drop them off at their home.”
OPP are asking for the public’s help in identifying him, and/or the vehicle with the following description:
The man is described as:
– Between 5′ 9″ and 6′ tall
– White man
– Muscular built
– Right arm full of tattoos
– English speaking with no accent
– Medium length, dark hair
– Long side burns
– Wearing a white tank top and sunglasses on top of his head
The suspect’s vehicle is described as:
– Mazda CX5 shiny red
– Brand new tires
– Dark tinted windows
– At the top left of the back windshield it was written “keep calm” and something written in pink
– Partial license plate of C##V ### or C##K ###.
This incident follows other similar events involving a suspicious man and children in Russell last week.
