🚨 Missing Woman in Edmonton, Alberta – Natanis Merasty, 24 – Last Seen May 5, 2025
The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s help to locate Natanis Merasty, a 24-year-old Indigenous woman whose disappearance is now being investigated as suspicious in nature.
Natanis is from La Ronge, Saskatchewan but had been in Edmonton in early May. She was last seen on May 5, 2025 at the Continental Inn on 166 Street and Stony Plain Road in Edmonton’s west end. Security video captured her leaving the motel at 1:22 a.m. in her black 2007 Hyundai Tucson (Saskatchewan plates), returning briefly at 1:30 a.m., then leaving again at 2:37 a.m. She was next seen at a 7-Eleven located at 156 Street and 107 Avenue at 2:55 a.m.
After that, only her vehicle was observed. It was tracked travelling through several Alberta and B.C. communities including Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Buck Lake, Nordegg, and Lake Louise. The Hyundai then crossed into British Columbia, taking a ferry to Nanaimo on May 7. It was later spotted back in Edmonton on May 10, west of Lloydminster on May 12, and was finally discovered abandoned and repainted silver on James Smith Cree Nation in Saskatchewan on May 15.
Natanis was reported missing on May 9 after four days without contact. Edmonton Police assumed control of the investigation on May 22. Detective Lisa Riou stated that her disappearance is considered suspicious and confirmed that investigators have people of interest but continue to seek public assistance.
