🚨 Suspicious Fire and Disappearance of Eli Wood – Ongoing Investigation in Kitchener, Ontario
The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) continues to actively investigate the disappearance of Eli Wood, 25, following a suspicious house fire in Kitchener that investigators now believe was deliberately set.
Emergency services were called to a residence on Major Street in Kitchener at approximately 6:00 a.m. on October 19, 2025. Upon arrival, firefighters located a rear unit of the home fully engulfed in flames. Although the fire was extinguished, Eli Wood — the resident of the rear unit — was not located.
The fire has since been classified as arson, and police believe foul play is suspected in Eli’s disappearance. The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by the WRPS Major Crime Unit in collaboration with the Office of the Fire Marshal.
