🚨 MISSING BOY IN CROWSNEST PASS, ALBERTA – DARIUS MACDOUGALL, 6 – LAST SEEN SEPTEMBER 21, 2025
More than six months after 6-year-old Darius MacDougall vanished during a family camping trip in the Crowsnest Pass, his family continues their search for answers — and for him.
Darius was last seen on September 21, 2025, near Island Lake Campground while playing with a cousin. The family had camped in the area many times before. In a matter of minutes, he was gone.
🚨 The Search
A large-scale search was launched involving over 400 volunteers from Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, working alongside RCMP. Helicopters, drones, search dogs, and ATVs were used, with teams logging more than 11,000 hours and covering nearly 22 square kilometres of dense forest and rugged terrain.
Because Darius is autistic, searchers adapted their approach, including playing his favourite music. Despite these efforts, no trace of the young boy was ever found.
🚨 Current Status
The official ground search was suspended after 11 days, but Darius’ family and dedicated volunteers continue searching independently. Police state there is no credible evidence of abduction, but the complete absence of any clues has left the family with many painful questions.
🚨 How to Help
Anyone who was in the Crowsnest Pass or Island Lake area on or around September 21, 2025, or who may have any information, is urged to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers immediately.
