🚨 Missing Woman in Calgary, Alberta – Deeanna Erickson, 31 – Last Seen June 6
Calgary Police and family members are continuing their efforts to locate Deeanna Erickson, a 31-year-old woman who has been missing since early June. Her sister, Shelby Erickson, is appealing to the public for help in bringing her home.
Deeanna was last seen on June 6, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., after getting off a Route 162 bus near Walden. Surveillance footage showed her earlier that night travelling from the Marlborough CTrain station to the Somerset station, where she boarded a bus headed in the wrong direction. At one point, she was seen visibly upset, holding her head and rocking back and forth. She exited the bus suddenly a few stops later and has not been seen since.
📌 Investigation
Police initially appealed to anyone who may have interacted with Deeanna between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. that evening, or who may have taken transit in the area at the time. Despite following multiple leads, the investigation has yet to uncover new information.
“This is still very much an open and active investigation,” said a Calgary Police Service spokesperson. “We are relying on people to come forward if they haven’t already. Deeanna is still considered missing, and we are still looking for her.”
Authorities have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected at this time.
💔 Family’s Plea for Help
For Shelby Erickson, the months since her sister’s disappearance have been filled with worry and heartache. She says she is doing everything she can to keep the search going.
“They did a ground search, but they weren’t able to do any water areas,” Shelby explained. “I reached out to fishing companies along the Bow River, asking them to keep an eye out for anything unusual.”
Shelby learned of her sister’s disappearance after a call from Deeanna’s landlord, who said she hadn’t returned home. “She had her bird at home, and her bird is her everything,” Shelby said. “She would never just leave her alone.”
🕊️ About Deeanna
Deeanna has faced lifelong challenges with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and had support workers helping her with daily tasks and appointments. She had been waiting to re-enter a support program after being removed from a previous one, which her sister believes may have caused her to relapse.
“She’s an amazing person, an animal lover,” Shelby said. “She’s just a loving, caring person, and all she wanted to do was do good.”
