The Sarnia Police Service is transitioning from a ground search to investigative channels to locate a missing vulnerable person.
Anthony Robertson was reported missing the evening of Thursday, December 29.
Sarnia police Cst. John Sottosanti said despite an exhaustive search by several agencies, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT) the OPP K-9 Unit and helicopter, London Search and Rescue, Sarnia Fire and Rescue and Point Edward Fire, the vulnerable 75-year-old man has not been located.
“The Sarnia Police Service has completed its efforts in regards to ground search and are transitioning to an investigative avenue to locate Mr. Robertson,” said Sottosanti. “This includes continued requests for public assistance for any information and following up on any investigative leads that may arise.”
Sottosanti said at this time, they do not believe Robertson left the city.
“Obviously everything is on the table and we are considering all options, but there is no evidence showing that at this time.”
He said at this time, Robertson’s disappearance is not considered suspicious, or related to any other missing person investigation.
Robertson is described as between 5’8″ and 5’9″, with brown eyes, grey hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid lumberjack style jacket with black jeans and black shoes.
