The search continues for a Petawawa teen who disappeared without a trace from her family home three weeks ago.
It’s believed that Trinity Poil, 16, left her home on Garrison Petawawa sometime during the early morning hours of Feb. 13 while wearing a black jacket with purple lining, a black toque with cat ears and grey boots with fur trim.
She did not take a phone, a laptop, a bank card or cash.
“We have absolutely no idea where she could possibly be or who she could be with, no information whatsoever,” said family spokesperson Tracey Serviss said in an interview March 2. “Her disappearance is a complete mystery.”
Poil’s family and friends, she said, are desperate for information. “We need to know she’s OK.”
Searchers have started to distribute car magnets with Poil’s picture so that taxi drivers, bus passengers and others might take notice. Serviss said she hopes some of the magnets will be distributed in Ottawa this week.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the military police at 613-687-5511, ext. 5444, or the Petawawa detachment of the OPP at 613-735-0188.
More than 2,100 people have joined a Facebook page (Missing: Trinity Poil) created to aid in the search for Poil, who is tall for her age at 6-1. She’s described as having brown hair, hazel eyes and weighing about 240 pounds.
An extensive Feb. 19 search of the woods and river near the family home did not turn up any clues as to her whereabouts.
