A search is being organized to find Caitlin Potts, a First Nations woman who has been missing for five years from the Enderby area.

Victoria Love, a member of the Okanagan Forest Task Force Facebook group, is seeking people willing to join the search.

“The search will be for her remains. It will be taking place … Aug 9 to 20 and will be very organized … I am currently working to hire a search and rescue team,” Love wrote on the OFTF Facebook page.

Love is looking for experienced hikers, people with search and rescue experience, foresters, archaeologists, field techs, hunters, and anyone with experience in the bush.

Anyone interested is asked to message Love on Facebook or reply to her post in the OFTF Facebook group.

Updates will also be posted in a Facebook group created for Potts, called The Search for Caitlin Potts. Anyone is welcome to join.

Love is hoping to bring closure to Potts’ family.

In January, Love launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to hire a private eye to search for Potts.

She was reported missing March 1.

In May 2017, RCMP said they suspected foul play in her disappearance and released a surveillance video of Caitlin entering Orchard Park Mall in Kelowna on Feb. 21, 2016.

Potts is one of four women to go missing in the area between Sicamous and Yankee Flats Road near Silver Creek.
