Lethbridge Police have located a deceased person in a rural area outside the city and the ongoing investigation has been transferred to RCMP.
On Oct. 24, 2022, members of the LPS Criminal Investigation Section, acting on information obtained during an ongoing missing persons investigation, attended an area west of the city and located a body.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Oct. 26, 2022 at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary to confirm the identity of the deceased and cause of death.
As the body was found outside the city, the investigation has been transferred to the RCMP.
LPS is unable to release any further information.
