🚨 Public Advisory: Child Approached by Suspicious Males in White Van – Beverley Street Area, Winnipeg – December 16 2025
On December 16, 2025 around 1:00 p.m., a school-aged child was walking to school in the 600 block of Beverley Street when a white van stopped. Two men wearing face masks and black clothing exited the vehicle and offered the child candy and a ride.
The child refused and quickly ran to the school to report the incident to staff. Police were contacted, and the investigation is in its early stages.
The Winnipeg Police Service encourages families and caregivers to discuss strategic safety with children, including walking with a friend, reporting suspicious interactions to a trusted adult, and shouting out loud if help is needed.
