Police in Logan Lake are warning parents to remain vigilant after an attempted child abduction in the community.
According to a letter from the school district, on Thursday at 3:30 pm, a 10-year-old girl was approached by an older man in a grey SUV. The man asked the girl to get into the vehicle and offered her candy.
This incident happened near Logan Lake Elementary School, across from the “Go-To-Shop.” Police are searching for a clean, grey SUV that belonged to a balding man with a moustache and a grey jacket.
“Today, school staff have reminded students to be cautious when strangers approach and have instructed the students not to walk alone and to make sure they are telling their trusted adults where they are,” wrote the school. “If they are approached, advise the police immediately.”
