In an attempt to locate next of kin, investigators are releasing a composite sketch of a man who was found deceased in 2022 and remains unidentified.
In August 2022, the man was found deceased in a tent near 32 Avenue N.E. and Burroughs Manor N.E. Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death was determined non-criminal. Despite numerous attempts to identify the man by the Medical Examiner’s office and police, his identity remains unconfirmed and his next of kin remain outstanding.
The man is described as being of Asian descent, between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 135 pounds and 5’6” tall, with long white and grey hair, as well as a goatee.
Investigators also located a laptop and paperwork in the tent that had content related to betting on horse races, and a potential alias of Thanh NGUYEN.
“By releasing this sketch, we hope someone out there will be able to provide us his name, so that we can bring answers to his family who are out there not knowing what has happened to him,” says Staff Sgt. Brad Moore of the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team.
