Some scary moments for a mother at a Peterborough park on Sunday afternoon.
Police say a mother and her toddler were in a park at Lock Street and McKellar Street at approximately 12:00 pm when an older man engaged in conversation and then began to follow the pair around. After a few minutes, he scooped up the girl and started walking to the parking lot according to police. When the mother started yelling, he was confronted by another man and a woman in the park. He put the girl down and left the area.
The suspect was described to police as:
Caucasian
65 to 70 years old
Thin build
Grey and white short hair
Blue and grey plaid button up short sleeved shirt
Khaki cargo pants which were over-sized
Last seen walking toward Lansdowne Street
