Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking assistance from the public in an attempted child abduction investigation.
On Thursday, Janaury 24, 2019, between 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. the victim, a 9 year-old girl from Brampton, was walking home from school in the area of Creditview Road and Sandalwood Parkway in the City of Brampton when an unknown man approached the victim and took hold of her arm. The victim was able to break free from the man and sought help from a trusted adult.
The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 30-40, brown skin, slim build and had a black beard with some grey hairs. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket with a gold zipper, black and gold toque and had black shoes.
Investigators are asking residents that live in the area to contact them and provide any surveillance footage that would help identify the suspect.
