London police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after a 12-year-old girl was inappropriately touched near a west-end mall Wednesday night.
Police say a girl was near the Sherwood Forest Mall on Wonderland Road at about 10 p.m. Wednesday when she was approached by a man. The man started talking with the girl, walked with her for a short distance and inappropriately touched her, police said Thursday.
Police say the girl, who did not suffer any physical injury, ran home and police were called.
The suspect is described as a black man in his late 30s or early 40s between six-foot-three and six-foot-four. He was very thin with short dark hair, dark brown eyes and a noticeable accent. The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt with gold on it, dark-coloured pants and shiny black shoes.
The sexual assault and child abuse section is investigating the incident.
