π¨ AMBER ALERT CANCELLED β BABY BOY FOUND SAFE IN BRAMPTON
An eight-month-old baby boy has been found in βgood healthβ after an Amber Alert was issued by Peel Regional Police on Thursday.
Peel police announced on social media that the boy was located after allegedly being abandoned by the suspect. The Amber Alert was officially cancelled at approximately 6:40 p.m. Emergency alerts had been broadcast across the province about an hour earlier after the infant went missing in Brampton.
While the child has been safely recovered, police are still actively searching for a suspect in the case. Authorities have identified the suspect as Shahzaib Memon, 40, described as Middle Eastern, 5-foot-9, weighing about 120 pounds, with black hair.
Investigators are also looking for a grey 2023 Nissan Rogue bearing Ontario licence plate number CZLM113.
Peel police have asked anyone with information about the suspect or the suspect vehicle to immediately call 911 and not to approach the individual.
