Original Story:

On Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at approximately 2:15 p.m., members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an attempted abduction of two students at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in Angus, Essa Township.

The two 10-year old female students were walking on the school property when they were approached by a female who reportedly tried to grab them to get them into a 4-door, grey compact vehicle, which was described by witnesses as dirty, having a car seat in the backseat and black sun shades on the rear windows.

The investigation is ongoing and a preliminary description of the driver of the grey vehicle is male, bald with a long brown beard. The passenger is described as female, Caucasian with short blonde hair.

A police search of the area did not located the vehicle or suspects. The two students are safe and the school was placed into hold and secure while police searched the vicinity.

The investigation is ongoing and further details will be released when they become available.

Investigators are urging anyone with any information contact the Nottawasaga OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). When you contact Crime Stoppers you remain anonymous, you will never have to testify and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
