Police are trying to locate a missing person from the Wikwemikong Unceded Territory on Manitoulin Island.
The Wikwemikong Tribal Police said Jamie Lynn Pitawanawkat was last seen on Sept. 28 at about 4 a.m.
She is 28 and described as 5-foot-2, about 117 pounds and with long brown hair and brown eyes.
Pitawanakwat is of Indigenous descent.
Police don’t know what she was wearing when she was last seen.
Pitawanakwat may be driving a black 2017 Ford F-150 truck with licence plate AS46793.
“Police have attempted to contact Ms. Pitawnakwat on her last known contact number with negative results,” the police service said.
