Investigators from the West Vancouver Police Major Investigations Team are seeking public assistance with locating a missing 53-year-old woman who they believe may have travelled to a remote area of BC.
Xiao Hua Jiang, who goes by her English name “Christina,” was reported missing on May 3, 2022 after family members were unable to make contact with her.
Ms. Jiang was last seen in West Vancouver on April 27, 2022 at 1am.
On May 2, 2022, Ms. Jiang’s vehicle, a grey 2021 Toyota Highlander bearing BC license plate NB739C, was located abandoned on the Trans Canada Hwy between Revelstoke and Golden, BC.
Golden RCMP, with the assistance of Police Dog Services, searched the surrounding area; however Ms. Jiang was not located.
“We are very worried about the well-being of Ms. Jiang,” says Cst Kevin Goodmurphy. “We are asking anyone who may have information on her whereabouts to call their local police.”
Ms. Jiang is described as an Asian female, 53 years of age, 5’4”, 110 lbs, with shoulder length black hair with grey/brown eyes, medium complexion with sunspots on her face. She was last seen wearing a dark (blue/black) jacket and grey yoga-style pants.
WVPD investigators continue to work closely with the RCMP in Golden and all efforts are being made to locate her.
If anyone sees Ms. Jiang, they are asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and if possible, to remain with her until help arrives.
Investigators are seeking information on the whereabouts of a high risk missing person. Xiao Hua "Christina" Jiang was last seen on April 27.
On May 2, her abandoned vehicle was found near Golden, BC.
