Maskwacis RCMP has reported that 16-year-old Terrance Buffalo Jr. has been located deceased in Ermineskin Cree Nation.
An autopsy was performed on July 29 and the death is being investigated as a homicide, according to a release.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been engaged and has taken over the investigation. Terrance was last heard from by his family on July 23.
RCMP, with search parties, had carried out a search of the region on Sunday, July 28, searching homes by permission and any abandoned houses and abandoned vehicles.

Terrance was last heard from by his family on July 23, 2024, and they are concerned for his well-being.
Terrance is described as:
160 pounds;
6 feet 1 inches tall;
Brown eyes; and
Black hair.
