The family of Brian Potts says they have many questions as to what exactly happened in the death of their loved one.
Potts, 66, who lived with dementia, went missing on April 10 in Edmonton after visiting his son in the Royal Alexandra Hospital when he suddenly wandered off on foot.
Five days later, Edmonton police said Potts was spotted on several transit busses in Edmonton’s Westmount area. At the time, the family said they were worried for Potts’ well-being as he needed his medication for his dementia and diabetes.
“I think he might just be making his way home to Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation and he’s ahead of us somewhere,” said Potts’ niece, Candace Alexis, who previously spoke with APTN News on April 22.
On May 14, Potts was located deceased and his death was deemed non-criminal by police.
