π¨ Missing Person in Kitchener β Eli Wood, 25 β Linked to Suspicious Fire on Major Street
The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is investigating a suspicious house fire and missing person case after 25-year-old Eli Wood disappeared from the residence involved in a blaze early Sunday morning in Kitchener.
Emergency services were called to a property on Major Street on October 19, 2025, at approximately 6 a.m.. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a rear unit of the home fully engulfed in flames. The Kitchener Fire Department extinguished the fire, but the property sustained severe damage.
Police are now treating the fire as arson and have confirmed that Eli Wood, the resident of the unit, has not been located. Investigators believe there are suspicious circumstances surrounding Eliβs disappearance and that this was a targeted incident.
