The 19-year-old man who was reported missing October 1 in Antigonish has been located deceased by the RCMP’s Police Dog Services.
The death is not believed to be suspicious in nature. The investigation is ongoing in partnership with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiners Service.

Antigonish County District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 19-year-old Jacob Alawashez (aka Jacob MacDonald). He was last seen on Tuesday September 24, 2024 in the Antigonish area.
Alawashez has long blonde hair, a full beard, and blue eyes. He is approximately 5’11, 150 lbs. He was last seen leaving a residence in Antigonish on foot, and his clothing description is unknown.
