The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is requesting assistance from the public in locating a missing man last seen in Eganville.
Daniel, a 44-year-old from Orillia, Ontario, was reported missing on October 18. The investigation began after his vehicle was registered in the police database following his disappearance. On October 20, 2024, patrol officers located his unoccupied vehicle in a parking lot near the Bonnechere River. The discovery was made after an alert from the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system integrated with the cruiser’s In-Car Camera (ICC).
Daniel was last seen in Eganville on October 15. He is described as 170 cm (5′ 7″) tall, weighing 90 kg (200 lbs.), with grey hair.
The OPP’s investigation is ongoing, with support from several specialized units, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, Aviation Services Unit, Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU), and the Renfrew County Crime Unit.
