A woman who went missing after travelling from Ontario to British Columbia to meet someone she had met online has been found safe, according to the RCMP on Vancouver Island.
Patricia Nzuza, 55, had not been in contact with her family for more than a week after arriving in Victoria on April 15. Her daughter reported the case to the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP, and a search was launched.
However, on Tuesday, Mounties announced that Nzuza had contacted the detachment herself, confirming that she was in good health. She was located on the B.C. mainland, and the police say they are not considering any criminality in the matter.
